SNOW STORM HELP

I am sure you have heard by now that we are expecting a snow storm of historic proportions! 
Volunteer Prince William is tasked by the PWC Department of Emergency Management with Volunteer and Donations Management in disasters.  During the December storm they responded to a number of requests for assistance by the Area Agency on Aging to provide snow removal to elderly and disabled citizens.  This storm is going to be worse and they anticipate a greater need.  Perhaps you are aware of folks in your neighborhood who are less able to take care of themselves.  If Volunteer Prince William receives a request for assistance, they would like to tap into immediate neighbors rather than sending volunteers to and fro.  If folks in your congregation are willing to help, they can view updates on the Volunteer Prince William web site.  Please read the message below.

Volunteer Prince William anticipates requests for assistance following the upcoming snow storm.  Remember, volunteers will not be placed in jeopardy and won’t be called out in unsafe conditions.  We will be more of a clean-up crew if there are unmet needsas identified by County Government.  Please email bnahas@volunteerprincewilliam.org if you would like to volunteer to clear walks and driveways for the elderly and disabled in your neighborhood.  Updates on unmet needs will also be posted to the web site.  Take care of yourselves and family first.  Visit www.ReadyVirginia.gov  for winter weather preparedness tips.
